Kastel Fortress
Expect to go back in time, as the fortress dates back to the 16th century when it was built to defend against Austria. On the other hand, there is evidence that in this place, as early as the 3rd century, there was a Roman settlement called Kastrum.
It covers an area of 48,000 square meters, on which there are nine bastions, two drop towers, as well as a gallery and park.
Gospodska street
The main city street and the most popular walking route in Banja Luka city is definitely the Gospodska street. Based on one legend, in 1878, a Banja Luka trader Tomo Radulovic wrote a sign on his shop which said Gospodska street (gentleman’s street). The street is decorated by numerous building of European style and of the most important ones is located in the middle of the street. It is the building of the old city pub which was the place to take a break and have lunch. The street ends at the Municipality building and transforms into the Ban Tisa Milosavljevic street.
Temple of Christ the Savior
Temple of Christ the Savior is the biggest and most beautiful orthodox religious building in Banja Luka.
The temple was built from 1925 to 1939. Unfortunately during the World War II the temple was damaged during bombing in 1941 and later on it was completely destroyed. The restoration started in 1992 and it was completed in 2010 when the ruins of the old temple were placed in front of the new one.

Ferhad-pasha’s mosque
Today, numerous cultural and musical manifestations, performances, exhibitions and other manifestations are held Ferhad-pasha’s mosque.
Banja Luka is a city that abounds in cultural diversity. If you didn’t know, the Turks ruled these regions for about 500 years, and left a great impact on the local culture and language, as well as many monuments. One of the cultural assets is Ferhadija, the largest mosque in this city, which was built by the great Ferhad Pasha Sokolovic in 1579.
Dajak river boat
Dajak is one of the trademarks of the city of Banja Luka and one of the most beautiful city symbols. Dajak is a unique boat long up to 9 meters long and made of wood. Its importance is shown by the fact that the Dajak is as old as Banja Luka itself and that, at a time when there were still no bridges in the city, it served as the only means of crossing from one side of river Vrbas to the other. Today it is used exclusively as a tourist attraction.
